“My family just moved here from Vietnam two years ago and before that I went to high school in New Zealand. I joined a VSA because I wanted to feel the sense that I’m still Vietnamese, find a safe community that allows me to express my interests with my fellow Vietnamese peers, and still feel like I’m back home in Vietnam. I was a general member in first year and now I’m a public relations officer for the UTVSA executive team. I promote our events on social media and send out monthly bilingual emails, as it is our goal to be more inclusive this year!”
